Self Empowerment to combat anxiety
It is quite natural to feel anxious time to time; specially, if you are leading a hectic life. Right now, we are going through a bad break. If we look outside there are only negativity flowing around news channel & social media. If you get involved in this, the anxiousness will only get worse which may impact your health
Large number of people believe that meditation, health diet, exercise are the best way to get over the situation. I have tried meditation & medication both. Unfortunately, that didn’t work for me.
Then, what is the solution:
First, you have to find out the root of anxiety.
Next, you have to raise the question with yourself: how to overcome from the situation and what to do?
The inner forces:
These 3 are interrelated with each other.
Stage 1- Self Scrutiny
In this ball game mirror is your best friend. Stand in front of mirror; look straight at your eyes & question yourself about your hobbies, love, passion & long term goal. Your “will power” will help you out.
Stage 2- Recall Memory
Relax your mind & keep your mobile on silent. Try to look into your past memory & think how you overcame difficult situations in past and find out your strength. This will build your self confidence
Stage 3 — Know Yourself
Look outside circumstances. There are so many people who are struggling to get some food, some of them are brilliant but due to financial condition they can’t pursue higher studies, many children are staying in orphanage & many of them became child labour. Analyze the scenario, judge yourself about your current position & think that you are in better position. If you are reading this blog through internet; you are in better situation than almost 48% of Indians . The self motivation will give you the strength
stage 4-Get Busy
Listen your favourite music or read your favourite book. This allows you to pay attention to others thought, feeling & behaviour. This will help you to improve your patience level.
Stage 5- Entertain yourself
Last but not the least few artefact like swimming, badminton, chess, puzzle which helps you to control the anxiety. These activities boost your thinking and problem solving skills. If your brain is busy with these activities, the fear or anxiety will not come in your mind.
Conclusion:
“Idle brain is Devil’s workshop”. Try to be positive and keep smiling.
