Self-care Is Not Selfish

To do all the things that we want in our lives, we have to make self-care a priority. We can’t leave it to chance to get the nourishment and rebalancing we need. We must put ourselves at the top of our “to do” list and create a routine structure to make sure self-care happens daily. When we forget to check in with ourselves and deplete our emotional health, we set ourselves up for disaster. And, one spa day “every once in a while” won’t resolve compounded stress.
Remember these 3 things about self-care:
1. Self-care is critical for staying mentally balanced and healthy
2. We cannot deplete ourselves and hope that a random spa day will resolve compounded stress.
3. Self-care must be an integrated daily practice to help us care for ourselves and preserve our emotional wellbeing.
