Following Jen's vlog from last week, she wanted to continue the discussion about self-care for creatives who are trying to find that elusive balance whilst keeping themselves thriving. Here are some of her top tips below:
- Embrace your creative impulses, when you’re feeling creative whether it is work related or not, just go for it! Lean into that impulse and have fun with it.?
- Got a project on your plate with deadlines breathing down your neck? Once you’ve completed it, treat yourself in whichever way you see fit.
- Feeling the burnout creeping in? Step away and take a breather. Stepping away from your desk and getting some fresh air will do the trick. Or a simple cup of tea or your favourite snack can do wonders.
- Plan some "me-time" into your schedule, whether it's for unleashing your creative impulses or just some chill time. Your personal time is as important as the deadlines you meet.?
- Recognizing the small wins is just as crucial as celebrating the major achievements.
