Self-Awareness – Trusting Self

Self-Awareness – Trusting Self

We live in tough times. The word in uncertain, It is changing fast and we doubt who all can we trust. Trust is a central to all human relationships, family life and businesses.

While interpersonal trust has been written about a lot, one aspect has not been in focus – Trust in Self.

Trusting yourself means?being able to attempt to do all kinds of things without judging yourself too harshly.

There’s no one more important to trust than yourself. Trusting ourselves is one of the most helpful things we can do for ourselves in our life. It can help build our confidence, allow others to trust us more, and make the process of decision making much easier. To trust ourself, all we need is to make a little effort, create self-love, and find the ability to look inward.

There are 3 elements of Self Trust

  • Trusting our story
  • ?Trusting our judgement
  • Trusting our people

TRUSTING YOUR STORY

Where are you from? I am from a very small….

So many times, I have received this answer. Our relationship with ourselves is based on how we relate to our life. Our early life is never under our control. Our birth into a family, our school education and our childhood and adolescence. We form a story out of our experiences. These are often influenced by comparison (Small or big, rich or poor). We miss out on the positives. The uniqueness of my town, the love and care of my parents, the dedication of my primary school teachers.

I urge you to have a relook at your story. Their will be many positives and lovely experiences of your childhood. Rewrite the narrative of your past life. Underline what benefitted you. Accept your past story, it will give you increased self-confidence about yourself.

TRUSTING YOUR JUDGEMENT

We all are required to take decisions in life, make choices that have consequences. No body carries a 100% record in this matter. We all try to be as rational and as intelligent as we can be or as others expect us to be. When we fail we tend to suffer all kinds of self-doubts, it dents our self-confidence.

To become better in our judgements we need to constantly learn new and relevant skills , seek new experiences. We also need to trust our gut.

Studies?show that pairing gut feelings with analytical thinking helps us make better, faster, and more accurate decisions and gives us more confidence in our choices than relying on intellect alone.

This is especially true when we’re overthinking or when there is no single clear-cut, “correct” option.

TRUSTING YOUR PEOPLE

Successful leaders tackle big problems by using networks that they build in their life, both professional and personal. In today’s world, networking is a necessity. Research shows that professional networks lead to more job and business opportunities, broader and deeper knowledge, improved capacity to innovate, faster advancement, and greater status and authority. Building and nurturing professional relationships also improves the quality of work and increases job satisfaction.

Know your personal and professional goals. Then you will be able to find people who can help you achieve what you want. In any crisis, seek their council.

?

Self-trust is not trusting yourself to know all the answers, nor is it believing that you will always do the right things. It’s having the conviction that you will be kind and respectful to yourself regardless of the outcome of your efforts.?

Charanjit yes Trust is a huge deal. I once had a Huge breakthrough with a personal development course called Landmark Forum. We had to Trust Sharing Our stories with total strangers To enable the seeing of the Illusion ' The Story'! We looked at processes that we had held for our life, Broke them down And realized that these were running Us. 'IT'!! Run Us I then rewrote my story I don't believe in 'IT' ANYMORE 'IT' S AN ILLUSION! I received so much Power from this. I went on to have targets of 76k over 5 weeks and made a Astounding 106k! Now for Me I Am using my knowledge to engage others. I Am Trustworthiness for my Fiance I Am Relatable for others I Am Unique and Compassion Compassion And this is my Gift to Me I Am also Grateful For God has bought Me You Charanjit ????

Trust is the foundation for professional and personal life for sure. Without truly looking at our own actions and thoughts, it is hard to be trustworthy.
