Self-awareness & Sunglasses

To me, the world is pink…
Because I’m wearing these pink sunglasses.
As I look out to the world, through these sunglasses, the pink tint of the lens augments my perception of reality.?
How long have I been wearing these sunglasses? Maybe a minute. Maybe a decade.??
Self-awareness is realizing I’ve been wearing a pair of pink sunglasses.?
I become aware that I’m wearing these sunglasses, and for a moment, I take them off my face.
I look at them, not through them.?
For a brief moment, I see objectively.?
And then the pink sunglasses slide back on my face, and the world looks pink again.??
I begin again.?
But perhaps this time, I remember to notice the sunglasses on my face just a little sooner than last time.?
That’s the practice of self-awareness.???
