First things first
The first step in becoming more self-aware is to realize that we all make mistakes. Everyone does. It's just a fact of life. But we don't have to let those mistakes hold us back. Once we recognize that our actions, patterns, words, and thoughts are causing us to feel and behave in certain ways, we can begin to change.
We have to admit that we are not perfect and that we sometimes fail to live up to our potential. In fact, we all make mistakes. But it is possible to change our behaviour and our actions so that we can become a better version of ourselves, need to do an introspection.
?What is self-awareness in leadership?
It's the ability to recognize and understand our strengths and weaknesses. Truth is, we all have good days and bad days. We all face challenges in our daily lives that make us feel like we are stuck. But when we are familiar with these challenges and understand them, we can take steps to improve, thats where feedback comes handy.
Many people go through life without really knowing who they are. They don't know what they are capable of. They don't know what they enjoy doing. They don't know how to deal with their emotions. When we don't know ourselves well, we feel like we are lost. We feel like we can't do anything to change our situation. And when we feel like this, we become depressed. Study yourself and find the truth. Can you spend quality time with yourself and ask for feedback?
The good news is that by being aware of ourselves, we can change. If we study ourselves, then we can take control of our own destiny. We can start to change the path that we are on and create the life we want.

Career and Self-Awareness
We all know what we’re good at, but it’s hard to see what we’re bad at, and the harder it is to admit our weaknesses, the harder it is to fix them.
Self-awareness is crucial for a healthy life and a healthy career. If you want to be highly successful in your company or professional life, you must know what you’re good at and what you’re not so good at. Seeking feedback from your employees and leaders?will not only provide insight but can also surprise you with revelations that you never thought about.
Self-awareness isn't something that comes naturally to most people. We are (both employees and leaders) trained to hide our flaws, and we're taught to blame others for our problems. On other hand we can't help but blame ourselves for our mistakes, and we think that if we just worked harder, we could do better.
But, that's not the case.?
Self-awareness in leadership is the key to making good decisions and creating a healthy life. If you want to be more successful, if you want to be more effective at work, and if you want to enhance your leaderships, self-awareness is the first step. This is critical for people from all walks of life, be it employees or leaders.
In addition, if you are working with people, you can identify his or her strengths and weaknesses. You can then help the employee to work on his or her weaknesses and develop strategies to overcome those weaknesses.
Why is this needed?

Without self-awareness, you will feel like you are floating around in a bubble, unable to relate to the world around you. Thats not what leaders and managers do.
In order for you to grow as an powerful individual, you need to be aware of what makes you happy and what doesn't. For example, are you generally happy with your job or do you feel stuck in the same job? Are you satisfied with your relationships or do you have issues with trust or communication? Seeking these internal explanations will help you to develop your self-awareness and help you become a better person or a better manager.
Once you have done the study and developed a deeper understanding of yourself, you can then take steps to change the areas that aren't working for you. For example, if you feel stuck in a relationship and you are unhappy, you can look at these findings and you can change yourself so that you can improve your situation and bring satisfaction to your relationship.
I believe, that in the fact, there are three personalities to every human being:
One; what they think who you are
Second; what others think of you
Third; who you really are.
