SelectQuote Foundation
SelectQuote is proud to announce that throughout the 2022-2023 year, we will be hosting more events through our grant and service program, The SelectQuote Foundation, in order to support the communities of our associates! The goal of this program focuses on three key areas: under-resourced youth, education, and entrepreneurship. Through The Foundation’s efforts, we hope to make a positive impact on the lives of those in our community and help support numerous causes throughout the country!
"SelectQuote was built on the principle of service. Every day, our agents help customers navigate critical decisions to help them protect their health, their families, and their most valuable assets. SelectQuote has always been a people-driven organization firmly rooted in the communities we serve. The SelectQuote Foundation will allow us to accelerate the impact we make on those communities by sharing both financial resources and our highly-engaged associates' energy with deserving non-profits focused on education, under-resourced youth, and entrepreneurship,” Matt Gunter, Chief Communications Officer.
Since the inception of The SelectQuote Foundation, thousands of dollars have been given nationwide to organizations to help within the scope of under-resourced and education realms. The benefactors of these grants were No Limits Foundation - Camp No Limits, an organization that helps youth with limb differences overcome life’s obstacles; Summit Future Foundation, which empowers youth and adults with developmental disabilities by teaching them life skills; Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City, supporting their “Project Learn” for all their clubs, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater San Diego, supporting their “Big” program in the San Diego area. One goal of the foundation is to find organizations that SelectQuote Community can partner with in the way of volunteer activities as well.?
The Foundation works in conjunction with the company’s community outreach program, SelectQuote Community, to facilitate service projects throughout the country with a focus on the three key areas mentioned previously. For example, the SQ Community focuses on the importance of education and entrepreneurship through Junior Achievement, which is a USA nonprofit that gives grade school and middle school students the opportunity to learn about the different types of jobs and businesses they can pursue in the future. SelectQuote actually has a storefront in Biztown so students can understand the value of having Auto and Home insurance, Life insurance, and Health insurance. In fact, last week, SelectQuote’s Talent Acquisition and Recruiting teams were able to once again lend a hand to Junior Achievement’s Biztown by teaching 4th/5th-grade students about the world of economics. We strive for this partnership to teach the youth about the variety of career paths they can take and prepare them for future success!
