SELECTED FOR THE SEASON: GLOVES

At last we have some proper seasonal weather; my clear, crisp morning bike ride galvanised me to sing merrily whilst out on chores. The jolly trip was only slightly marred by having very chilly fingers. With the rest of my body snug under wool I berated myself for having forgotten my tweed gloves.

We always seek out the best British makers and for the last few years we have been having excellent gloves made by?Chester Jefferies?down in Dorset. They have almost a centuries worth of experience and combine our fabrics with the softest nappa leather to create truly exquisite dashing gloves, splendidly lined in silk or cashmere. Very sadly, although their order books are full, they simply can’t find any young people who want to continue glove making and hence they are being?forced to close their UK production.

Luckily for you we still have a few pairs left. We have ladies gloves in our Red Raver cloth using matching red leather and lined in cashmere, they look striking with any outfit, keeping your hands warm as well as brightening up any look. Perhaps falling into a gender stereotype we have blue for boys, Navy Raver gloves also lined in cashmere and in sizes which fit manly digits.

We have two designs of fine silk lined gloves; our purple Libertine cloth matched with a dark plum leather for ladies and our interestingly chevroned green Verdant Merino faced in black leather for men.

With only a few pairs of gloves left it’s first come first served, either?online?or in store. So to avoid gloves off fisticuffs it will be wise to snatch a pair whilst you can, and they make brilliant Christmas presents for your loved ones!
