Product Announcements

Introducing?YugabyteDB Managed ?and?YugabyteDB Anywhere !?

?After extensive feedback and discussions, we realized that our product names didn't properly communicate our vision, or easily identify what they do. Therefore, we are thrilled to announce new names for the products previously known as Yugabyte Platform and Yugabyte Cloud.

?Their features and capabilities aren’t changing. However, we hope the new names more clearly capture their underlying features and benefits!

Simplifying Data Migration

We are thrilled to share the first of many steps on our journey to simplifying data migration. On Github, we have published our open-source migration engine for YugabyteDB that will initially be CLI-based and use?yb_migrate .?

yb_migrate is a simple utility to migrate schema objects and data from different source database types (currently MySQL, Oracle and PostgreSQL) onto YugabyteDB. Support for more database types, online migrations and numerous new features and user experience improvements are planned. Look out for future announcements!
