Seetru’s range of valves provide precise control, improved efficiency, and enhanced safety measures.

  • A safety valve or pressure relief valve prevents a specific set pressure from being ex-ceeded.
  • A pressure reducing valve is designed to reduce the pressure to a desired level and maintains a constant downstream pressure.
  • A pressure regulating valve is used to maintain a specific pressure level in a system.
  • An overflow valve, like a pressure relief valve is used to protect against excessive over-pressure, but overflow valves are designed to maintain a constant pressure by allowing excess pressure to be released.

We have had a busy period of events and networking opportunities this month, commencing with Nor-Shipping at the beginning of June in Norway.

Our participation was made possible through the UK Pavilion stand organised by the Society of Maritime Industries (SMI). We would like to express our thank you to all those involved in the organisation of the event, it was a great success!

For over 58 years, Nor-Shipping has served as a global nexus for the maritime and ocean industries, fostering connections and collaborative efforts. It stands as a platform for propelling innovation within these sectors, and Seetru takes great pride in being an integral part of this community.

Seetru Regional Sales Coordinator Larita Prescott represented us and had the opportunity to work with our Scandinavian Distributors - AS Bull, who we thank for their support over many years in partnership with Seetru and proudly representing us in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland!

We are glad that Seetru attended this important international Maritime Event in Norway. Nor-Shipping was absolutely amazing! Larita visited Seetru Distributor - AS Bull for the first time, where she met with Arne Ringvoll and the new Business Development Manager, Thomas Hellsten, along with other colleagues. We would like to thank AS Bull for their great support and warm hospitality.

Together with Thomas, Larita visited Scandinavian Marine Design Bureaus, Shipyards, and OEMs-suppliers of marine equipment. Seetru & AS Bull had some productive meetings with industry leaders and very prospective companies. There were many interesting developments in alternative marine fuels such as methanol, ammonium, and hydrogen. Big companies from Europe and Asia demonstrated and introduced visitors to the latest technologies, including hydrogen projects.

Seetru Scandinavian Distributor AS Bull received a very warm greeting from the organisers of the UK Pavilion SMI UK following our introduction. Hopefully, this will lead to new potential business opportunities for our local partner.

Larita also praised the success of great collaboration with our Turkish Distributors: Sirius Marine, who we would like to extend our warm thanks to.

TRADE MISSION:

RIA and DBT Rail Trade Mission to Spain

Seetru participated in a great Rail Trade Mission to Spain along with 14 other UK companies, represented by Regional Sales Coordinator, Larita Prescott. During the mission, we undertook a range of pre selected one to one meetings with Spanish rail companies, of which Seetru had the opportunity of meeting with ALSTOM and TAGLO.

The trade mission events are of great importance to many British companies who want to introduce their excellent engineering products and services to the export market. We would like to extend our gratitude to Neil Walker, the Export Manager at RIA GB, for his great support and help with export business opportunities, as well as to the DBT team in Spain (Isaac Morillas and Fernando Pons). It was a pleasure to meet with the exceptional team of British companies.

ALSTOM has been designing and manufacturing high-speed and regional trains in Spain for over 150 years. They also have expertise in high capacity metro rolling stock and tramways. They have industrial capabilities in Barcelona and the Basque Country, along with an innovation and digital mobility excellence center in Madrid. In addition to rolling stock, they supply electrification and signaling systems, as well as related superstructure products. Alstom also provides maintenance services for their portfolio. In the current mission, they participated both as a manufacturer of rolling stock and as infrastructure and superstructure providers.

TALGO, headquartered in Madrid, specialises in the manufacturing of conventional and high-speed rolling stock. They have recently expanded their portfolio to include the design of light-rail vehicles. Taglo has manufacturing plants in Madrid and the Basque Country, where they originated. Internationally, they have a presence in around 10 countries, including the UK, and their products and maintenance services can be found in over 40 countries. They have achieved notable success with projects such as the Meca Medina contract and, more recently, the Deutsche Bahn contract. Technologically, their unique natural tilting and independent rotation, self guiding wheels allow them to manufacture longer, wider, and uniformly-low cars.

Seetru's Tutchtite sealing system has revolutionised the safety valve market by offering valves that do not leak even after repeated popping at high pressures. The primary function of a safety valve is to protect property and life. Since a safety valve is often the last line of defense against catastrophic failure under pressure conditions, it is crucial for the valve to work at all times and be 100 percent reliable. Seetru safety valves have an excellent reputation, and our customers can always trust that their systems are protected.
