The story of the origin of Mata Sita. According to the holy book Ramayana, once in the kingdom of Mithila it was not raining for many years. Due to this Mithila King Janak got very worried. For this, he consulted with the sages and requested to pave the way. At that time the sages advised King Janak to plow the field. He said that if you do this, then Indra's grace will surely rain. According to the words of the sages, King Janak plowed the field on the ninth day of Shukla Paksha in the month of Vaishakh.
During this time, seeing that some object hit his plow, King Janak got the servants excavated at that place. At that time, during excavation, he found an urn, in which there was a girl. King Janak took her as his daughter and raised her. At that time the plow was called "Sit". That's why King Janak named that girl Sita.
The festival of Sita Navami is celebrated on the Navami of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month. According to religious texts, Mata Sita appeared on this day. In Sanatan culture, Mother Sita is revered for her sacrifice and dedication. Janaki Navami is also called Sita Navami festival. Mother Sita is worshiped on this holy festival and fasting is observed. # Importance of fasting and worship of Sita Navami. It is believed that on this day, women who observe the fast of Mother Sita, have qualities like patience, sacrifice, modesty, love and dedication, as well as self-confidence. Women must worship Lord Shri Ram-Janaki for the longevity of their husband and family peace and health along with children.
According to religious scriptures, whoever fasts and worships Mother Janaki along with Lord Rama on this holy festival automatically gets the fruits of earth donation and all pilgrimage tours and gets freedom from all kinds of sorrows, diseases and anguish. Mother Sita bestows wealth, health, intelligence and prosperity to her devotees. Mother Sita is the form of land, being born from the land, she is also called Bhumatmaja. Sun, Agni and Moon are considered to be the forms of Mother Sita. The rays of the moon give the properties of curing diseases to various medicines. These moon rays are the life-giving and healing offerings of Amritdayini Sita. On this day, along with the worship of Mother Sita and Lord Shri Ram, the worship of Chandra Dev should also be done.
Importance of charity on Sita Navami. Charity and charity have special significance on the day of Sita Navami. It is said that the donation given on this day is considered equal to daughter donation and Chardham pilgrimage. Sita is the light of sun, fire and moon. Sita Navami is auspicious because Lord Shri Ram himself is the form of Vishnu and Mother Sita Lakshmi.
