Seen at GE Smart Geotechnics conference: Spot - the robot dog
Ground Engineering Magazine
Everything you need know about geotechnics, engineering geology and geo-environmental engineering.
Our GE Smart Geotechnics conference, that took place yesterday, had an exceptionally smart visitor - Spot! Spot, brought to us by BAM Ritchies , isn't just a fun gimmick bringing excitement to the delegates; it is a remote-controlled robot equipped with laser scanning equipment that can support data collection in a remote construction setting. Spot can work in hazardous locations, provides real-time information and enables faster decision-making. It doesn't come much smarter than that!
We thought we'd share a video of Spot the robotic dog doing his thing at the packed GE Smart Geotechnics event:

2 年An excellent conference and with all that innovation on display Ground Engineering Magazine you choose to post a picture of Spot? It’s not that Smart, does little Geotechnics, but gets pride of place in your LinkedIn post? How disappointing.
