Seeking your first job? furious? you are not alone.
Looking for a job?

Seeking your first job? furious? you are not alone.

It's all so different from the folk’s tale always recited by your teachers for getting your dream job right after you complete your education.? It is only when you step into the job market that you realize how different the market was from your imaginative world. Fresh graduates all share the same struggling story. You might also have gone through this process.

  • At the campus placement in your college or university, some genius and overconfident student got hired and the rest had to find their own way to the market
  • After graduation, some of your fellow? graduates opt to go for higher education and you along with some unfortunate ones are those who are bullied by the market reality.
  • Being strangers to the job market, you face a difficult time reading the market expectations.
  • You might have wandered here and there because you lacked guidance and recommendation where to start over
  • Some of you might also have been victims of fraud job schemes, paid 1000s of rupees for the registration and training programs of those various jobs being pasted on walls. But those refundable fees were never refunded and neither were you called back from the recruiter after you paid the fee.
  • Initial obstacles must be polishing an exceptional CV that makes recruiters choose you?
  • Then when it comes to interviews, you are dumbfounded as you think ‘why the candidate with lesser skills and qualification was preferred over you and hired.’
  • It is not a surprise that you were blank in your interviews or during your first week of job. Although you had very good grades in your academics, when it comes to the corporate world you don’t know how to get things done. It's only natural because what you studied is theoretical detail, the applications of which in the real world have begun only now.
  • Even if you got offers that were either from call centers or for BPOs positions because all your desired fields and job positions require market experience.

To address this issues, recruiters and college management have to take some primitive steps such as:

  • College management should add some training sessions to help students get an idea of the job market and prepare for it including where to hunt for a job, how to approach, interview skills, adopting the right attitude and all.
  • Also, recruiters must have some special programs for freshers for which the recruitment process must be focused on potential recognition rather than looking for experience.
  • It is also necessary to limit the application of such programs only for freshers in order to prevent freshers being compared to experienced candidates again.

Tell us your experience. And how should it be improved. Let's make a change.
