Seeking search and building a Parthenon.
A zillion years ago when the first molecule replicated itself and opened the door to natural selection, we knew we were onto something. What makes a living organism a better adaptor to the environment around it? Is it the ability to seek better, faster, more diligently, create and thrive through instability? You know where this is going, we are going the “Search” way. Let’s take a popular religious origin story. When Adam and Eve met, am sure they said, "Honey, am hungry, we should get some food!" voila! the Apple. Yes, and then they moved on to other forms of nourishment. We’ll let that story be for the books.?
Today our need for nourishment is beyond our bodies, we seek nourishment of the mind. Look around you, you’ll find more people asking you to meditate, look inward than those asking you to get a drink and get over it. Healing has changed. Our search for seeking has led to a million odd innovations, and these innovations have led someone at some point to unemployment. The invention of the car made an existing sector completely, irrelevant. The number of horses (horse carriage) that were out of jobs, abysmal!?
If you are an 80’s child you’ll remember the time when information/search was through books, you scurried through the library to write an essay, and you actually read a book to review it. I was recently sent a YouTube link which paraphrased a 300-pager to 3 minutes with interesting visuals and “storytelling”, the irony is the youtube video was paraphrasing a book on storytelling! a part of me just desperately craves that moment on the terrace with my “desi” grandmother telling me a story of the Gods of lightning and the seven stars named after seven sages. I digress.?

What am trying to get at is that we will continue to ease our need to seek, what the fire was to food, today, the world wide web is for knowledge. It will refine just as we evolved to consume our physical nourishment differently.?
Do you wonder if TikTok?is the 2 minutes instant noodle, and ChatGPT the next heat and eat? it could be, I know many who survived and thrived on both and yet there will be the “organic” farm-to-table fellas. The moment for each in the sun. But, what of the times between the moment in the sun, when technology leaves many unemployed. I recently read how the Greeks brought stability to those rendered unemployed by technology. Pericles started a government-funded public works program that commissioned many architectural and cultural projects and employed thousands. It also resulted in several masterpieces, including the Parthenon. Now maybe our moment for our own Parthenon, what we need is for organizations to relocate, and reinvent their employees' strengths. Before they “sack” for savings, ask "What else are you good at?" "What do you want to learn" and look to innovate, a good content team cannot be replaced by a chatbot, however, a chatbot can help a good content team create better content and create personalised customer interaction. An AI image generator will not leave the illustrator jobless, a designer adapting to AI-Generated designs will change the visual landscape and maybe just maybe create his/her own Parthenon.?
I would tell people that my one good skill is to write, I beg to differ now. My one good skill is to stay curious and adapt.?
