Seeking Property Accounting Managers - Commercial Real Estate

Our client in the downtown core, a leading global real estate professional services and investment management company is expanding. As part of their strategic expansion, they are actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Property Accounting Manager to join their team. Hybrid working arrangement – 3 days in the office, promoting a balanced and flexible work environment.

Snapshot of the Role:

In reporting to the Director, the Property Accounting Manager will be responsible for leading all aspects of the monthly, quarterly and year end closes for a sizeable portfolio, and will have a team of professionals reporting into them. The Property Accounting Manager will also take on exciting projects and initiatives to continuously improve processes and procedures.

Your Key Qualifications:

·???????? CPA in good standing.

·???????? University Degree in Finance or related field.

·???????? 7 years of experience in Financial Accounting in roles growing in responsibility

·???????? 5 years minimum experience leading a team of accounting professionals of three or more.

·???????? Have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in the Commercial Real Estate Sector.

·???????? Have a solid understanding of Recovery Schedules and Leases.

·???????? Have experience with CAM Recovery (common area maintenance) or expense recovery reconciliation.

·???????? Robust performance management and coaching experience, and the ability to be adaptable.

·???????? Have advanced Excel skills (macros, pivot, VLOOKUP). YARDI experience is also preferred.

·???????? A strong understanding of accounting standards (IFRS/USGAAP) is considered an asset.

·???????? Experience at a public company is an asset.
