Seeking knowledge has no age limits

Seeking knowledge has no age limits

On the occasion of Father’s Day, I gifted my dad an English grammar book.

My dad is 72 and whatever he studied in school was quite old. English grammar has also evolved in all these decades. So, he was looking for an easy book to brush up his English grammar knowledge. He forgot a few things as he got older and went out of practice.

I encouraged him and went a step ahead to order a book from Amazon. I minutely checked the contents of the book & ordered one for him.

Sometimes, he asks me some doubts and I clarify it to him in the simplest way. I’m trying my best to teach my 72 years old baby boy ???? Ya parents become your kids when they are 60+.

I used to do the same with my mother. She used to love reading novels. She extensively read Bangla novels. I bought her some children version classic English novels.

She read ????“The Treasure Island” by Robert Louise Stevenson; “The Black Island” by Herge (TinTin series); “Little Woman” by Louisa May Alcott; and “Three Men in a Boat” by Jerome K. Jerome. Sometimes, she used to get stuck with word meanings and I used to rescue her.

My mom used to say that knowledge knows no age boundary. You can learn as a school kid. You can also learn in your 60-70s. You just need to have that mindset to learn new things.

Life itself is the biggest teacher. Life teaches you so many things in so many ways that you can’t even imagine. Like, I started exploring my spiritual side for the past 2.5 years.

I never knew, I will step into the world of spirituality. Never imagined in my wildest dreams that, I’m so courageous and a powerhouse of strength. I had no idea that how powerful is my own mind.

I’m truly grateful to the universe that I’m getting such wide opportunities in life. I’m deeply motivated seeing my dad studying schoolbook to revise his English knowledge. Its kinda super cute seeing him studying in the daytime ????. He shoots his doubts to me when I’m free.

I love the zeal that your parents have had even at that age because it's a rare but oh-so-amazing sight! All I hope is that I have the same strength and enthusiasm to unlearn and relearn at that age, because it truly is a process that never should stop.
