SEEKING AND FINDING HAPPINESS

Once upon a time, there was a young who lived a peaceful life in a small village. He was always content with what he had, and he had an optimistic outlook on life. One day, he heard about a big city far away and decided to travel there in search of greater happiness. He thought that perhaps if he moved to the big city, he would find more money, more excitement and more fun. So, he set off on his journey, determined to find happiness in the city. He went to many parties, had more fun and enjoyed more. He also made more money.

After a few years in the city, he felt he didn't have enough fun or money and wanted to move to bigger city. So, he moved to bigger city. In the bigger city too, he found ways to make more money and have more fun, but after a few days he felt discontentment rise up in him again.

He thought may be he should go to a bigger country. As he was getting ready to go to another country, he wanted to visit his home village and say goodbye to some of his old friends.

On his way back home, the young man stopped to rest in meadow. As he looked around, he noticed a small flower growing out of a crack in the ground. He was amazed by the beauty of the flower and determination it showed by growing in by cracking a rock open. The young man suddenly realized that happiness was not something that could be found in a big city or any other place. Happiness was something that could be found within himself, no matter where he was.

Moral of this story

The moral of the story is that true happiness comes from within, not from external sources. No matter where you go or what you do, if you focus on being content with what you have, you will find true happiness.
