Seeking Content Tips? Try Clubhouse

B2B Content Corner on Clubhouse: Some Notes to Share

For my morning coffee yesterday, I tuned into Clubhouse for a B2B Content Session. Now some people rightly lament that Clubhouse is only available for iPhone users and so they are missing out. I agree. That's why I'm doing my part here to share insights that I pick up there. Here are the latest thoughts around how to use content to support brands from a session hosted by Berlin-based B2B content marketing expert, Megan Thudium of MTC The Content Agency. Do check her work out.

Here are some valuable tips we discussed in the group:

  • First step: create a content roadmap; revisit it to ensure it is still relevant.
  • Your strategy should address your audience with relevant messaging.
  • LISTEN to your audience, they are everything. Have, and show, empathy.
  • Consider appropriate channels: where can you have the biggest bang for your buck?
  • Limit yourself to the channels you can handle, although be able to react; i.e. Clubhouse!
  • On Clubhouse and Twitter, listen to many others in your field, take notes, like these. :)
"It's all about the people!"

"It's all about the people!" says Madeline Farquharson of Bunch AI, another Berlin gem.

  • Try new formats that relate personally and engage, like a video that solves a deeper question. Make complexity understandable.
  • Messaging: Don't be too sales-y but do show who you are.
  • The brand is often the people behind it. There's an intangible quality to it all.
  • Question if Linkedin is really for all. (Sorry to admit that here!) It is a great place for mission-driven businesses like Ecosia though...When you emphasize common goals of humanity, it will resonate widely.

Megan gave a shout out to Nicole Gottselig on setting up employee advocacy programs. You can read about that here or in the article. In short, get more individuals from across your company to be involved in content creation or distribution. Help them understand the point of sharing and being open on social. Use many different people as channels to loop back to your company.

Finally, other audience members from the UK and Australia, who by the way, discovered the session simply by the title word 'Content', suggested tagging people in your posts so that they see you and your brand become top-of-mind. Hope it worked! ??

That's it for now, folks. Thanks to with Megan Thudium: and Cordula Pfluegl for moderating. Follow Megan to find out about her future sessions and me for insights on Berlin and whatever else I find interesting on Clubhouse. There's a lot and I am open to your suggestions and recommendations. My handle there is simply @elishevamarcus ??

Curious what content I'm editing or creating lately? Just head over to Earlybird VC's Medium blog or visit us on Twitter and Linkedin. Cheers and stay healthy!

These notes here I consider 10 times more value per minute than an hour of clubhouse with folks trying to find out how they are going to use this new gimmick :-)
