Seeking Alpha Launched Alpha Picks: My Personal Review
The Power of a Wall Street’s Breakfast
I have been writing for Seeking Alpha since 2015. But I have been reading Wall Street Breakfast since 2009. In fact in many ways, Seeking Alpha helped me prepare for my first few jobs in college.
As a student, I read their Wall Street Breakfast email everyday. It gave me a quick digest on the economy. It told me which macro indicators to look out for, upcoming economic events and portfolio updates. Each of these were critical components to become a top-notch intern and investor.
In fact, Seeking Alpha had become my secret weapon before entering any room. Their competitive research tools gave me insights for my own investment ideas. I still get the daily emails. But now it is more curated with better product offerings. Let’s dive into each product. Which ranges from Investing Groups to Alpha Picks .
The Alpha Picks offer
So over the years, I’ve had different types of Seeking Alpha subscriptions. Ranging from free to paid. Each offering their own benefits. But I think Alpha Picks is the best one yet for individual investors. Let me tell you why.
For starters, Seeking Alpha is now offering investment ideas by their own quant team.?
Their goal is to identify potential winners before the rest of the market and help members build a portfolio that can outperform the S&P 500. The service is a good fit for buy-and-hold investors with long-term investing goals.
Members receive two new stock picks each month, chosen by the proprietary Quant system and curated by the Seeking Alpha analysis team. Members also have access to our entire Alpha Picks portfolio, as well as the in-depth analysis that goes with each pick. Novice to experienced investors will benefit the most from Alpha Picks .
Active members have access to the entire Alpha Picks portfolio. In addition, members will receive timely ‘Sell’ alerts when stock ratings. change, plus access to regular webinars hosted by our team of analysts.
My Seeking Alpha Experience
Now since 2015, I’ve been writing for Seeking Alpha, personally and professionally.?
There are a few notable benefits with the whole Seeking Alpha platform. First, there are way more readers than contributors on the platform. So contributors benefit from a lot of viewership. In fact, many of the contributors get paid to write great articles. Which incentivizes high-quality content because of Seeking Alpha’s rigorous editorial process.
Also as a contributor, I’ve had the chance to attend several contributor events. It’s always great to put a face to a contributor's work. In fact, this year was the first time Seeking Alpha held an Investment Summit, which was awesome. And when you begin writing, you begin building your own investment community. Which is always great.

For me, Seeking Alpha has accelerated my learning curve. Other contributors have given me direct insights on how they view the markets and build their investment portfolios. I think of it as an "Enhanced Portfolio Tracking Features" you can’t find anywhere else.
My recommendations
First check out Alpha Picks . Right now, investors will receive $50 off their first year purchase. Which is a great introductory deal, only available for a limited time.
However, if you want more I recommend checking out the Investing Groups. Some of my favorites include Growth Investor Pro and Potential Multibaggers . The reason is for the curated insights. Some of these authors deliver high double-digit ideas in very specific niches, in a very short amount of time.
It’s like having your own investment banking analyst on call. But instead you can niche down to a few ideas. Whether it is small cap, shipping, or semiconductors. You can decide. Personally my favorite ideas revolve around small cap, technology stocks. You can’t find this coverage anywhere else.
Lastly, are Seeking Alpha’s transcripts, investor summaries and presentations. These raw data files tend to have a lot of actionable points. They are the main reason I revisit the site on a regular basis. Without Seeking Alpha, it would take hours to find this content on a regular basis.
Product summary
Overall, I recommend going over to Seeking Alpha. Open a free account, sign up for daily emails if you’re just getting started. If you’re an active investor, then I recommend checking out Alpha Picks right away. Their current product deal will only be around until July 6th.
With Alpha Picks, their quant team will send you two stock picks each month. Which means you get expert-chosen stocks with high growth potential, aiming to outperform the market. It's perfect for both new and experienced investors. Beginners get a simplified entry point with pre-vetted ideas. While experienced investors can discover hidden gems they might have missed. Alpha Picks also includes "sell" alerts and analyst webinars to keep you informed.
On top of Alpha Picks , Seeking Alpha offers a treasure trove of resources like niche-specific Investing Groups. Which includes a vast library of transcripts and presentations from industry experts. Whether you're new to investing or a seasoned pro, Seeking Alpha has the tools and insights to help you build a stronger portfolio.
P.S. Investors can also subscribe for the 7-day free trial to Seeking Alpha Premium. The platform provides in-depth analysis to +250,000 Premium members.
Disclaimer: I am a Seeking Alpha affiliate , and if you choose to purchase Alpha Picks through my links, I may receive a commission at no additional cost to you.? My opinions and recommendations are independent, but I want to be fully transparent about any potential conflicts of interest.
