Seek Respect, Not Attention. It Lasts Longer.

Attention is today’s currency!

One should not expect to receive it without doing a dam good job.

I learned the concept of "Enchantment" from Guy Kawasaki's book Enchantment. Don't just serve but create an enchanting experience for your people (customers/team/family & friends).

The pillars of Enchantment or seeking respect are:

?? Likability

?? Trustworthiness

?? A great cause

You don’t have to have all three but the more the better.


How can you enchant your people to seek respect?


?? If you are a leader - It is all about leading not authority.

?? Are you looking for a job? It’s not about your qualifications (although you need it to get you through the doors), it’s about your attitude towards work and people.

?? If you are a parent - It’s not about parenting, it’s all about negotiating (that is what I learned so far being a parent)

If you really want to seek respect then it’s not about tips or shortcuts it’s about getting started and doing the required things.

They say "success leaves clues."
