Seeing the Empty Space

I visited the Musee D’Orsay recently and was enamored by many things, but one of them was a?sculpture of Hercules, the Archer.

What makes this sculpture so powerful is not just the physical part of it, but the vast empty space in the middle of it, which gives the form so much power and space.

This is something that is part of Taoist philosophy as well.

It’s the empty space that makes the structure around so meaningful.

I think there’s a lesson here for marketing, though it’s not immediately obvious what that is.

It’s about what’s not there, as much as what is there though.

Sometimes less is more, right?
