Seed Growth & Mindset - 2 min read
How do you go from zero to hero? I am fascinated to see businesses achieve rapid growth from seed to succeed. So I had coffee with serial entrepreneur, business hacker and impact investor David Kovalsky at Impact Hub in Brno, CZ to find out what worked for him in the past.
Should CEOs micromanage?
"No, definitely don't micro-manage. There are different types of people. Some people tend to see very great into detail and work well with the details. Some people work best if they can work at a very high level. So I'm pretty good at figuring out the high-level and when I have the overview, it works very well. Whenever I get dragged down to the technical stuff, I lose focus on the overall scale of money, time and people. So I try to keep an eagle-eye view. Even the eagle needs to fly down and eat something, but the eagle doesn't stay on the ground.
The thing I always keep in mind is where people stand. Are they good at details, at the middle level or are they good at connecting the detail with the high level? Some are high-level guys. They can come up with great solutions, but they can never pretend to make the solutions come to life."
