See what you want, get what you see

In this newsletter I'm going to be talking about Success Principle #11 called "SEE WHAT YOU WANT, GET WHAT YOU SEE" and how the power of visualisation can help you.

Why aren't you unlocking your potential through visualisation?

Albert Einstein once said, "Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions." Visualization, the act of vividly imagining your goals as already complete, may be one of the most underutilized tools for success. Let’s explore how you can leverage this powerful technique to achieve your personal and professional dreams.

When you visualize, you activate your brain’s Reticular Activating System (RAS), which helps you become more aware of resources, people, and opportunities that can propel you toward your goals. Visualization essentially programs your mind for success.

Athletes use visualization to prepare for high-pressure situations, and it’s a technique that’s spread to all corners of elite sports. But visualization isn’t just for athletes—it's for anyone striving to achieve greatness.

So how do you get started?

  1. 1. You have to know what you want to achieve and what your goals are
  2. 2. Then create vivid mental images of your goals as if they are already completed.
  3. 3. To make it more real add sensory details like sounds, smells, and emotions to make the experience real.
  4. 4. Practice daily to reinforce these images in your subconscious.

The process of visualizing your future success is simpler than you might think!

1?? Close your eyes and imagine your goals already achieved. Whether it's a dream house, a better sales person, a change of job or career, feeling calm and in control or a personal goal—fill in every detail. What does it look like? How do you feel?

2?? Write down each of your goals and review them every day—morning and night. Pause to visualize each one as if it's already real.

3?? Keep practicing! Just 10-15 minutes of daily visualization can dramatically shift your mindset and help you achieve success faster.

The clearer the picture, the better the results! Remember, your brain doesn’t differentiate between real-life action and mental imagery, making visualization a powerful tool for transformation.

My vision board (below) is right next to my laptop so I'm staring at it every day which helps with my own visualisation. There is an image of Giraffes at the bottom at Giraffe Manor in Nairobi. I've always wanted to get up close and personal with them and achieved that for my birthday this year.

Lesley Strachan Visualisation is relatively simple, but as you hint in your newsletter, soooo overlooked at a tactic for getting what you want/deserve. A great article! ?????? ?? ?? ?? #visualisation #imaginedgoals
