See me spending

We all have a "what is it worth" scale that we use to measure worth when we buy or otherwise obtain things. What is expensive or wasteful to one person can be a steal of a deal to another person.

Visualizing objectives is a powerful cognitive tool that is used widely. Athletes visualize crossing the finish line, creators visualize the finished product and many folks performing tough challenges of any nature use visualization to 'see' what they are striving for.

Pairing our worth scale with visualization can be just as powerful. If we never 'see' any future change in this scale our subconscious mind works to keep us on the level we are today.

Imagine you have a goal to grow your business by a certain percentage. You know you need knowledge and skills to get there. You find a coaching or mastermind program that is tailor-made for your situation - but it costs [put a number here that you feel is outrageous].

Without visualizing being able to spend that kind of cash on what you know can help you get to the next level - what do you do? Look for cheaper options, spend time on trying to figure out the knowledge for yourself or just ignore the option altogether.

By visualizing yourself spending the money you need to spend to improve yourself you can set up your subconscious mind to start getting you there. Say to yourself "I see me spending on...".

We have an easy time dreaming about spending money frivolously on luxury and gadgets, but when it comes time to think about spending money on knowledge and self improvement our worth scale comes out and poops on the party.

By seeing ourselves spending money on and investing in ourselves we are also forced to start seeing ourselves MAKING more money because of these investments. SEEING ourselves spending more forces us to start SEEING ourselves making more.
