How has your fortnight been??

What's been happening in my world?

What a wonderful fortnight it has been.? I've done quite a lot of writing.??

I have to admit, I do often find it hard to sit and write. I sometimes feel guilty that I don't have a 'proper job,' but the proper jobs I've had have almost killed me. I realised, after being told many times, that I just needed to write.

I had fallen into the habit of typing straight onto my phone to save time.? What I'd forgotten is where my enjoyment comes from with my writing.? It's the physical act of putting pencil to paper and letting my creativity flow.?

Writing makes me happy and in the last two weeks:

??I've written a new blog,?

??I've written?a couple of chapters for one of the many projects I have outstanding,?

?I've done?lots of journaling and,?

??I've done some automatic writing.?

??I have also been to choir practice, done exercise classes and lots and lots of walking.? Oh and a little bit of sunbathing.???

1. Another Sneak Peek into Sedrick's Adventures in Hopeland

'Trina threw her ‘phone onto the work surface in the kitchen and leaned against the cupboard. “Oh, nothing, Sedrick,” she sighed. “Why are you so sad then?” “I’m not sad.” She snapped back. “Angry then.” “I’m not angry either.” Trina sat down opposite Sedrick. She looked into her son’s eyes and saw something concerning but wasn’t quite sure what, or why. “Are you okay, Sedrick?” She asked as her ‘phone blurted out more offensive bleeping. As she moved to reach for it, Sedrick sighed. “Leave it, Mum. It will only make you sad.” For once, she did ignore it.?

What a strange thing to say.

Changing the subject, Trina asked Sedrick what he was working?on.'

2. Automatic Writing??

I use automatic writing a lot when I run workshops, but it's been over a year since I did the exercise myself.? I did it last week and this is what came from it:

'Summer, they said

Summer. Where? When?

One day of sun, two of rain

Does it matter?

We always feel better when the sun is shining,

Does it matter?

If happiness is found within,

Does it matter?

Does your inner world match your outer world?

Does it matter?

Is your legacy real?

I have a lot to do with the remainder of my life on earth. The old is gone. The old me is gone.

In with the new, positive, almost selfish me.

I’m not selfish, far from it, but it’s time to light up my soul. I know that by lighting up my soul I will then light up the world.'

Oh, my word. When I’d finished typing this up.

??I noticed I was on page 1 or 1.?

??♀I had 111 words.

??The type size was 11.

If you believe in angels and numerology, I’d say they were definitely telling me something.???

3. My Latest Blog

Following the work I did in Stoke Heath Prison a few weeks ago, and Hewell last year I was guided to write about domestic abuse.?

As a survivor, I know how hard it is to rebuild yourself.?

There are two sides to every story and I know my story helped alleged perpetrators of domestic abuse. I hope that sharing what I've written as a survivor it will help at least one person?who finds themselves in a toxic situation.?
