SEDBERGH INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL LAUNCH SEDBERGH ONLINE

Sedbergh International Summer School is now offering a brand new four-week online course: Sedbergh Online. The course will run from 6th July to 31st July (minimum 1 week booking).
This has been developed for international students aged between 8 and 17 who wish to continue improving their English in a fun and communicative way while foreign travel is restricted. Summer school staff have been working very closely with academic teachers at Sedbergh – who launched a successful remote learning programme in March 2020 – to develop an online course of English lessons, activities and competitions.
A typical Sedbergh Online day will consist of three ‘live’ English lessons with our experienced English teachers, followed by a short personalised feedback session, before moving on to another ‘live’ session with our Activity Staff.
“We have partnered with an established online learning platform to continue to provide Sedbergh’s communicative and engaging lessons, supported by an online bank of tested content which our experienced teachers can use as a platform to build outstanding lessons”. Gemma Newton, Course Director.
Students will develop and practice their speaking skills through interaction with their classmates, and our weekly Cultural Experiences (such as interactive tours of famous British attractions) and online Awards Ceremonies will maintain the social element of the course.
Staff and students will also receive training and advice for online safety, mental health and wellbeing, and students will develop study skills for online learning.
