IN Security Tribe Manifesto

My genuiine act of service to you...

I'd lke to invite you to come and join my IN Security Tribe. We're living in unprecedented times with COVID-19 and I know this community is a lifeline for many.

This is an inclusive, caring, compassionate, upbeat and giving community. It's for having conversations about performance. It's where we champion excellence, happiness and wellbeing too, plus share best practices (not pitches - we only do those on the first Monday of every month), so we help everyone in our tribe to thrive. There is a special emphasis on gender diversity and inclusivity, as this community follows on from my book. But it is gender neutral. It's a feelgood place, with a range of professionals - from CISOs, VPS, MDs to entry-levels in the whole ecosystem - and it's where people can contribute and have a bit of fun.

I'm in it everyday, posting and going live weekly (on video) to answer questions and provide insights. I'm using Facebook as my platform of choice. Having trailled Both Facebook and LinkedIn, it won, hands down. It has a different feeling and you can do so much more there.

IN Security Tribe Manifesto

We are cyber warriors, analysts, encryptors, coders, hackers, programme managers, trainers, consultants, lawyers, journalists, sales and marketing professionals, recruiters, and hiring managers. We are protectors, freedom fighters, peace keepers, data custodians, risk assessors, and digital evangelists who work hard. We are leaders, teammates, practitioners, interns, apprentices, sponsors, coaches, mentors and mentees. We are right brain thinkers and left brain thinkers. We are introverts and extroverts. We are trailblazers, creative thinkers, problem solvers, and good communicators. We tinker. Break things. Fix things. Design. Engineer. Create. Measure. We are go-givers, and knowledge sharers. We are kind, and committed to continuous improvement. We are women, men, and LGBTQIA. We are the round pegs that don’t fit into the square holes. Locked arm in arm. Like family. Brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers. We are worldwide. We are world-class. We are champions, supporters, advocates and guides. We are progressive, driven, future looking and positive. We are humbled to learn. We play the game. We win. We lose. We laugh. We cry. We pick ourselves up, modify our approach and try again. We are collaborative, inclusive, diverse, accepting of others and ourselves. We are compassionate. Empowering. Caring. Inspiring. Aspirational. Energy filled. Powerful. Spiritual. A force to be reckoned with. We are committed to excellence and ensuring a safer world. We are the IN Security Tribe.
