Security Managers keeping Deadly Secrets

Security Managers keeping Deadly Secrets

There may be Security Managers that sign a non-disclosure agreement and fear the ramifications of blowing the whistle. There may be some that have no any idea that there are issues in theater, or, there could be security managers that are involved in issues and once uncovered could destroy the reputation of a company.

This is a sector to which major issues impact global capital such as confeighted goods or the lives of woman, children and men. It is a very serious faculty that demands the respect of practitioners that practise professional development in the same fashion of a surgeon that holds the lives of one in their hands, whereas the practitioners in this field are responsible for many lives at once.

Complacency is the thief of lives in this sector. You have the criminal and terrorist that spends each waking moment in a constant state to out-think and outsmart the 'security system' (technology and people). The speed of development in technology and the fast changing social vulnerable landscape could change at a moments notice, for example; loud speaker signals could be easily be stimulated when a red flag is now being flown on-top of a religious center calling for the mother of all wars or, perhaps when places of worship are being attacked weekly around the world by mentally deranged or pro-nationalist extremist groups. We can never discount the power of belief by the few or the many that can deliver horrendous harm to others.

Security success depends on the level of situational awareness of the decision-makers (people on the ground) and their reaction speed. Heads of security, Accounting and HR must ensure the appropriate technology is purchased purposely and that the skillsets trained are relative to the operations. There is NO ROOM FOR IGNORANCE, SCROOGING AND SPECIALLY CORRUPTION whereas kickbacks supercede the investment into this sector.

Without knowledge - there is no situational awareness

No situational awareness - no reaction

= collateral damage!

For those that have signed a non-disclosure agreement and prefer to keep their identity safeguarded - then use a pseudo name (x) and no picture when participating in group meetings
Because it is VITAL TO PARTICIPATE WITH LIKE MINDED PRACTITIONERS THAT NEED TO UNCOVER NEW CRIME OR DISCOVER EVOLVING COPYCAT CRIME.

Transparency and Accountability

The ostrich syndrome has no place in this field. There is no Head of Security that can afford to not knowing what is truly happening on the ground. Who is being bullied, blackmailed or extorted, who is the sexual predator or offering jobs for money in which department or are they active in more than one departement, and who is the fixer that has opened the backdoor to parties that have agendas that will loot, capture intellectual property and industrial secrets or are working in concert to destroy the reputation of an organization, company or political party.

The tools of the trade are simple.

If one cannot read if a person of lying, perhaps hiding information or have reasons to volunteer information, then that practitioner should not be in the field - let alone in management.

Why where, when, how and why to use the tools is just as important, and perhaps even more so.

Meet with Like-Minded Practitioners virtually or in-person

Virtual Meeting Reviews

1-hour Virtual Workshops

On all subjects related to criminology, security, protection and risk investigation of threats, intelligence and analytics

;;A very interesting topic highlighting the importance of situational awareness where the whole is equal to the sum of the parts and how this is a global issue not isolated to any one specific country and cascades into many different areas like drugs, human trafficking, exploitation etc …” by Kim MSc Risk Management

”I think the online group meeting is firstly a great meeting. The subject was very relevant too. Your subject knowledge is very impressive and valuable too”.By Pierre Security Manager – Mining (Many mines in many African countries)

“The ISIO’s virtual group meeting on hotel risks and security was an excellent learning experience. Juan Kirsten is an obvious expert in this field, and he and his team have worked on the ground with hotels for extended periods of time. He brought up trends and case studies regarding every day petty crime, plus larger, more punishing attack scenarios that stemmed from local, regional, and even international threat issues. In this, ISIO is ahead of the curve, and the hotel sector would be wise to adopt this type of risk mitigation strategy. I look forward to attending future ISIO seminars.” by Jeff M. Moore, PhD, CEO, Muir Analytics, Purveyor, SecureHotel.US, Member, American Hotel & Lodging Association

”The virtual group meeting workshop was exemplary. The workshop sets a needed foundation for the security manager. No matter what your area of expertise ; you benefit by expanding your knowledge base by being “pro active” in critical thinking” By George, Security Consultant

Workshop In person Reviews

”The HIM Human Investigation Management workshop has unarguably been the most useful, relevant workshop that I have ever attended. It was thoroughly engaging, practical and thought provoking. This workshop is highly recommended, not only to Security Professionals like myself, but for all sectors of business. I look forward to working my way through the course material over the coming weeks.By Fred:Regional Security Manager: Corporate Security”’

”I found the workshop extremely inspiring and without doubt, one of the best workshop courses that I have recently attended. The quality of the course exceeded my expectations and the content was completely absorbing from start to finish.  Combined also with the excellent interaction skills of the trainer, I found it to be an all-round stimulating course”By Kia: International Security Consultant

I believe this workshop is the most important workshop security managers can attend. This workshop shows you how to read people. It is so important in security as we are all busy with investigations. These skills learned can also be applied in business negotiations.” By Lionel: Director Security Consultancy

”The HIM, Human investigation management day workshop and course has been invaluable to me.It affords each practitioner the opportunity to see the truth before their eye.More often than not, we do not see what is ‘really’ taking place before us. A lot of misinterpretation to our surroundings and Human investigation management, invokes the brain to rise to the potential of being situational aware and therefore making each decision through your day more accurate. This training is the perfect way to filter and produce an ‘unfiltered’ truth of all the exposure we are subjected to everyday.By Jono: Security Company Director

” I found the workshop most informative, as it showed me that I do possess the skills within myself to make a difference, and to be a vital cog in the decision making process. What I found most interesting is that the presenter did not make use of any visuals or paperwork, which to me indicated that the presenter was presenting out of experience. What interested me more is that the presentation was based on experiences around the globe. I also like the idea that the presentation was not a once off talk show, but that the presenter will have follow – ups with attendees”By Reginald: Security Manager [Hotel]

”I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop, which was highly interactive and insightful throughout. The key topics including International culture gestures, Human natural indicators and Deception Detection & investigative Interviewing, among others, we’re all relevant considering my daily encounters in the Hotel security environment. I am now looking forward to the next stage of this Human Investigations learning via the e-connect application for the next 12 months. I would recommend the MIM HIM workshop to all Hotel & Casino Security Managers”By Deon: Security Manager [Hotel]

” The workshop was a big eye opener. Regarding your training method, MIM HIM, it is epic!! You have the knowledge and combined unique skill to subtract all reliable relative information from another human being(subject) to validate interview and investigate (ask the right question at the right time for the right reason). In the security industry(more so) it is imperative for every security officer, manager etc.. to be aware daily what is their level of situational awareness and how to mitigate any or all threats. The only regret I have is that I was not introduced (on this level) to this method sooner when I was still in the Police. Just thinking the impact I could have made even more so than that I accomplished. I am definitely going to recommend this course to my colleagues in the security industry and Police.” By Jaco: Security Manager/Security Company

”Having attended an advanced course in Psychologically Motivated Crimes(Serial Killers/Rapists) during the time when I served in the SAPS Detective Services,we received instruction on the basic signs that somebody is lying. While it was not intensive, I found it very interesting. When I attended the one on one MIM:HUMAN INVESTIGATION MANAGEMENT workshop with you, it rekindled that interest, and I enjoyed doing the full 9 week e connect course immensely, with my situational awareness concerning my surroundings and my interactions with the people around me reaching new heights.I am really impressed with the outcome. The continuing support received via email and skype made maintaining the Learning Curve easy and doable.”By Jannie: Owner of Tracing & Tracking Investigation Company

‘I would just like to thank you for the workshop I attended. I believe that due to the way it was presented on the day, it allowed me to get the maximum benefit from the workshop. With the content of the workshop being of such value to me it really was important for me to learn and remember, which again I feel I have been able to do as a result of how the workshop was presented. The content of the workshop has opened my eyes to a different form of language that I almost took for granted as an every day practice. Knowing that I have these new tools at my disposal now has allowed me to feel a sense of security surrounding my daily interactions with others.” By Peter:Chief Investigator

I believe this workshop is the most important workshop security managers can attend. This workshop shows you how to read people. It is so important in security as we are all busy with investigations. These skills learned can also be applied in business negotiations.” By Lionel: Director Security Consultancy?

Yes ,this happens, but there are a lot of professionals ,who , deal with such issues ,find a solution at their level or escalate it if it requires a change in the implementation process.Such issues persists because the person responsible ,is not qualified enough ,or becomes a dormant player ,who follows what is required.Managers should become proactive,go to the root cause of the problem, find the cause and correct it,monitor the changes,Through out my Carrer ,this was the approach, and had the issue on record,Yes there are who perform perfunctory roles..dangerous for the roles and establishment.
