Security, It's simply a result;

Security, It's simply a result;

"with 192 years of history, 2200 officers, and a billion-dollar budget, the capitol police had one mission: protecting the activity of the united states of America legislature. The real story is not of an out of control demonstration, but of a severe failure in identifying a clear threat and prepare for it..." Oren Magnezy.

''Mob storms the capitol'' (*New York Times)

The headline is almost unreal, only it is. No politics, no opinions, facts; Violent breaking into a secured facility, never the less governmental facility is simply a result, not a good one.

Assumptions and facts are the leading pillars of structuring a security protocol at any level; when addressing the physical security aspects of any facility, security teams, tactical forces, law enforcement, special forces, and other professionals are utilizing various, pre-planned, and well calculated ''security circles''; these actions, tactics, and operation methods, when implemented with equipment, and technology, will make the difference between failure and success.

When considering relevant threats, factors like budgets, human capital, intel, and others are crucial; one must gently and wisely balance resources for optimal security efficiency.

'I know what I need, but I'm not the one signing the checks'' said every security manager ever.

Security, emergency, military, and law enforcement professionals can not and must not be vigilant to the existence of gentle politics and business aspects surrounding them and their actual ability to affect these aspects in their favor and reflect it accurately in the security plan.

When looking into the basics; Deterrence, Prevention, Identification, Response, and Technology coexist simultaneously and must be monitored and synced with real-time Intelligence. It does not matter if your facility is a public school and your intelligence is based on the janitor, or if it's the Capitol Hill and your resources are practically unlimited; In a time of crisis, the threats and probabilities are all the same.

It's an endless list, all the way from crowd control and tactical manipulations to hyper hydraulic breaching systems that will easily open any barricaded door and a system promising no entrance will be reachable. Optical systems that will see everything you can't, vocal-based detection systems will tell you more than you could handle. With the unimaginable accessibility of A.I. and big data; command & control systems are smart, comfortable, and 'crisis-affective' than ever. Already Field-tested, and ''battle-proven", specially designed for civil environment operation, with the famous ''Liability'' aspect hovering in the minds of gun drown agents and security officers facing a storming mob.

''Operators, decision-makers, and stakeholders must all sit at the same side of the table. ''

There are affordable solutions. Securing a facility, preventing, and efficiently responding to violent attacks sends a strong message; promising operational continuity to organizations and businesses, contributing to public trust in law and order, and at higher levels, promising a nation safety within its borders.

An efficient response using your pre-planned ''Security Circles'' will send a clear message to attackers; if it's clear enough, hopefully, they will reconsider. What happened last night at the Capitol is an opportunity. It's a chance to deliver a strong message to the executives ''signing the checks'', an opportunity for law enforcement, first responders, and security professionals at all levels to promote a simple fact; To ensure security, to maximize efficiency during an emergency, Operators, decision-makers, and stakeholders must all sit at the same side of the table.

It can be done; It should be done.

Keep Safe!
