Security Inside: A Simple Way IoT OEMs Can Set Themselves Apart

I'm frequently writing (and always thinking about) ways in which IoT / M2M-related companies can set themselves apart from their competition. The idea is simple, and one of marketing's golden rules: Have a unique value proposition that sets you apart from your competitors.

Sadly, something as simple as having secured the embedded firmware in your device will almost certainly set you apart from your competitors -- only 13% of OEMs currently have a process in place to do that, and after talking with Terry Dunlap at Tactical Network Solutions I began to realize that the size of this opportunity for OEMs -- and the potential risk for those that ignore it -- is truly staggering.

For more information and analysis, please check out "Security Inside: Setting Your IoT Devices Apart from the Competition" over on the ThreeTwelve blog. I'll be glad you did, and you might, too.
