What is CV security is all about?

We, as candidate always seems to be loyal and transparent to the employer or interviewer. To prove that we share many things those all are probably not required to be shared in the CV, resume.

What points are there which get leaked?

The information about full name, father name, mother name, full address with PIN code, Passport number with expiry, date of birth, place of birth, Aadhar number, cell number and email IDs.

These are sensitive information and all full details are not required.

One should be careful while sharing these many of these are your super confidential information which may cause and can be misused for:

·???????SIM duplication

·???????To get bank details

·???????To make financial transactions

·???????To get many types of account block, like bank, sim mobile, spoof your identity

·???????Hacker may use your identity for crime purpose

How does it affect you?

By using your personal information one can target you from Jamtara or another cybercrime city of the world.

Just give a thought that with this information who cannot get your all secrets and easily breakthrough.

There are tools available that analyze by combining all information and attempting for password cracks.

What one should care about?

Never share above mentioned full detail until asked along with below:

1.?????Full name along with father name

2.?????Mother name – you know its bank information recovery password

3.?????Date of birth -Just put Month and year; the pure date is not required

4.?????Any bank details,

5.?????Aadhar card – everywhere Aadhar is used; don’t share until absolute ask

6.?????Passport number -until the international application, it is not required, not in first screening at least.

7.?????When sharing photocopy of these documents make a habit to mention the purpose and expiry of the document; like “For XYZ Bank” valid up to March-2022; these are OK terms;

But without validity and mentioning purpose the documents can be misused for anything like getting duplicate SIM cards, ATM Card or anything else without your knowledge.

·???????Employer itself if not protected, kept safe and secure

·???????Banking and financial institutions

·???????Photocopier, scanner shop -if take one extra copy for misuse; keep an eye while visiting such shops.

Norms and Compliance

In some countries some protection regulation is there but not sufficient to protect all your PII;

Like GDPR in the Europe zone.

You are only and primary responsibility to protect your personally identifiable information, which is also known as PII.
