Securing and Retaining the Best Talent for Your Organization

“An organization’s ability to learn, and translate that learning into action rapidly, is the ultimate competitive advantage.” –Jack Welch

It wasn’t that long ago “in demand” technical skills were discussed solely in an IT department. However, today with the rapid pace of change and technological advances—everyone must become competent in the latest technology as well as understand the technologies emerging over the horizon and beyond.

All executives and business leaders who want to ensure that they can secure and retain the best talent for their organizations need to be proactively and aggressively staying up to date on these skills. Hiring strategies and total compensation packages but be redesigned to attract top talent in a tightening job market.

CIOs must be leading the way and educating their organizations on how to not only leverage these new and emerging technologies but also on how to ensure the right people are in the right seats in order to reap the greatest return on investment in these technologies.

“What you do has far greater impact than what you say.” –Stephen Covey

Digital transformation: From AI to IoT to Cybersecurity, to Blockchain, to the Cloud, is radically and rapidly affecting the way we work and the way we live in society.

Individuals need to upskill to compete and build rewarding careers. Organizations have a responsibility to train and help employees upskill to provide continual value. Leaders must help take their organizations to the next level through a deeper understanding of today’s and tomorrow’s technologies in order to not only survive but thrive in the 4th Industrial Evolution and embrace this new frontier.

“Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.” –Steve Jobs

How will you and your organization thrive in this new frontier? What will you be doing differently to ensure business success long-term? How will you know you are on the best trajectory?
