Securing a new contract!

Over the last couple of months we have been working with the team at E-Foods on an exciting contract which we were really keen to secure. A menu tasting and 2 meetings later, we were so pleased to hear we'd been successful in winning the contract! Working with the team at Network Rail and Amey, we will be hosting the catering over a 90 day period at 3 different sites on the rail network in the Derby Area.

This one is slightly unusual for us, with 3 shifts per day for the rail team, we will be catering over a 24 hour period, offering a range of both hot and cold food to keep the staff fed throughout their time on site. We had to think carefully about the best menu to offer the team who will be working hard to install new lines at these sites. We opted for a hearty choice of Triple Decker Sandwiches, Salad Boxes, Baguettes, Jacket Potatoes with a range of fillings and a hot food option with items such as Lasagne, Chilli, and Curry dishes to keep them all going throughout their shifts.

We will also be offering a range of snacks throughout the day too, Granola Bars, Fruit Salads, Flapjacks and the like, ensuring we have plenty of healthy options to select from.

We are now working on the staffing aspect for this project, always ensuring we offer our own in house team the option to be included on the rota which will be specifically drawn up for this contract and kept separately from our usual team rota. With a 90 day period and 3 shifts per day to cover, we're really pleased that we have so many loyal staff to offer the shifts to, trying our best to keep our work within the local community too.

The project starts on 22nd July, so we have a couple of weeks left to prep and plan effectively and we will give an update on progress next month!
