How to Stop Insider Threats in their Tracks

Globally, cyberattacks increased by 125% between 2021 and 2022, and this upward trend will likely continue through 2023. A growing share of these attacks involves company employees. These malicious insiders, termed insider threats, are current or former employees or contractors who have or once had authorized access to an organization’s network, systems, or data. They intentionally misuse this access to conduct sabotage, theft, espionage, or fraud by abusing their access or stealing materials or physical devices. on average, the scale and impact of attacks that insiders are involved in are ten times greater than those conducted by external actors. Insider security incidents are becoming increasingly common – and costly. Read more in this blog post

ChatGPT-3 and now ChatGPT-4 — What Does it Mean for Cybersecurity?

In this blog post, we discuss how AI technology is evolving and compare the different versions of ChatGPT. We also discuss how threat actors are using the technology to write nefarious code to increase the speed of creating malware and the destructive force of their new variations of attack

ChatGPT?is a state-of-the-art language model that makes it feel like you are communicating with a person rather than a machine. With its ability to understand the intent and fulfill users’ needs, ChatGPT is already making waves in the technology industry.?

GPT-4?is the fourth iteration of the GPT (Generative Pre-training Transformer) language model, developed by OpenAI, which shows a massive leap in natural language processing (NLP). This model, with its ability to understand and generate human-like text, has the potential to revolutionize the way we interact with machines and automate various language-based tasks. The GPT-4?model can solve complex problems with greater accuracy, thanks to its broader general knowledge and problem-solving abilities.

Cybersecurity vs. Cloud Security: What is the Difference?

Cyber and cloud security are critical elements that can either make or break a company’s overall IT infrastructure. Cybersecurity analysts must understand both nuances to protect their organization from potential risks. In this blog post, we discuss cloud adoption and how it is being moved forward by tools such as Dropbox, Google Drive, and Microsoft Office 365 which are designed to offer great usability; Dropbox, for example, has over 500 million users, the reason for this popularity is the ease of use and accessibility for virtually any device. According to data from Eurostat, enterprises are choosing the public cloud for three reasons: improved productivity, flexible ‘scale as you go’; and a more business-friendly payment plan. We discuss the challenges of security in cloud infrastructures and its applications.

What Does Web 3.0 Mean for Cybersecurity?

The basic definition of Web 3.0 is it will be the next significant evolution of the Internet in which all web data is machine-readable. Each web page has semantic metadata that describes to computers the meaning of the page’s elements. Through semantic metadata, the web is able to operate as a single, massive, connected database. Search queries can leverage this machine readability to provide far more accurate search results. Web 2.0, which is the current version of the internet, has been plagued by attacks and breaches; Web 3.0 promises a new cybersecurity landscape with both positive and negative attributes. We’ll discuss those attributes in this blog post.
