The secret’s out…!

Finally – FINALLY! – I get to share with you all the most incredibly exciting news, which I’ve had to keep under wraps for quite a while. Last week it was revealed that I have been named one of the 100 Female Entrepreneurs to Watch by The Telegraph and NatWest. To say it was a shock is an understatement! I am beyond honoured to be included alongside other amazingly inspirational businesswomen and I am so proud that The Venue Experts, a little business I started up from my kitchen table, has been recognised in such a way.

The news was announced online on Friday, then I was included in a special 8-page supplement in The Daily Telegraph on Saturday. To see it all in print was a real ’pinch-me’ moment and something I’ll never forget.

It’s fair to say this has been a very busy week –?even for me! On Monday I was invited to the House of Commons for a lunch reception in celebration of the Rose Review 100 Female Entrepreneurs to Watch list. It was a real joy to meet so many talented and passionate women making real strides in the business world. I came away really fired up and excited about where to take The Venue Experts next.

Then, on Wednesday it was back down to London to join the Women Mean Business 2022 conference, where I got to listen to panel discussions by some of the key industry figures from the world of finance, tech, beauty – and beyond – who shared their advice and experience on taking your business to the next level. I had the opportunity to network with some inspiring founders and business leaders and loved every second of being a part of it.

And now? Well, today I fly to Paris for some very rare child-free time with my husband, to celebrate our anniversary and honeymoon. I’m looking forward to taking some time out, exploring the city and indulging in the best food and drink Paris has to offer. But I know I’ll be back, more focussed and excited than ever to tackle engagement season and help The Venue Experts smash every goal we set.
