The job seekers wonder why they aren’t getting a call, even after sending their resume for the job, your resume may be the reason, which is causing a dent on your drastic skills. Summarise your profile
Summary is that section of a resume which narrates your past professional or personal life more clearly than the other sections of resume, sometimes, don’t do. It narrates your career journey as well as ‘how did you cover it.’An interviewer doesn’t need to ask you anything additionally if your summary satisfies him/her when he goes through it. Try to limit your content within the number of pages that can be completely filled with contents, it should be precise description about your past experince and knowledge in mannerfull way. Candidates, who have changed two or more job till their thirties, can include their experiences, projects, past companies, and other in more than one page.
Include Keywords
In the digital age, most of the companies have stated to adopt Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to shortlist the Resume of the candidates. It is becoming popular method of Resume short listing with every passing day. Using the keywords from job description, especially into first three four lines of the resume get it shortlisted, I have seen so far like ATS and Recruiter search resume's by mandate keywords related to the job opportunity and skill set, so descibe your skills and experience it such a way that can help you get on top of list for respective position. It’s, therefore, important for the candidates to include keywords in their resume and customise resume before applying on new job posting.
Adopt easy to read Font style and size
No matter what have you included in your resume if it isn’t easy to read. The interviewer isn’t going to bother himself to read just only your resume. There are a lot of resumes which he/she will have to go through. It’s, therefore, important for you to keep text size and font style more convenient to read. You can, preferably, adopt the 12 as size and ‘Times New Roman’ as a font for the texts or you can go for 12 as size with "Calibri" Style. It’ll be easy to read. Avoid using too small size of texts as it’ll lead your resume either towards the dustbin or towards the wardrobe of the office.
Include bullet points
Don’t limit yourself just under the duties when you start writing bullets in your resume. You can win over the interviewer, explaining ‘5 Ws and 1 H’ in your bullet points.These ‘5 Ws and 1 H’ answers the question such as ‘who assigned you the project, assignment, and responsibility in past organisation,’ ‘what was the outcome,’ ‘When did you accomplish the same,’ ‘which, organisation and company, you were in at that time,’ ‘Why did you do so,’ and ‘How you achieve your goal’ in bullet points.
