Secrets To Find Your Next Job In Q1 2021

Secrets To Find Your Next Job In Q1 2021

Sure, the job market in early 2021 remains bad.

Even in a recession job market, there are secrets that will help you find your next job in Q1 2021. Even if you are long term unemployed, even if you've sent out hundreds of resumes with few results, you can find your next job in Q1 2021.

It requires change ... and as human beings, it's difficult to change. When we consider change, we're usually comfortable with small changes, or tweaks. But small changes to your resume and job search won't bring major changes to your results.

Significant change to results requires major changes to your resume and job search strategy.

Here are a couple secrets that can get you started to find your next job in Q1 2021:

  1. Better Employer Information Gives Your Search A Big Advantage: Most of the employer information you currently use to customize your resume and prep for interviews is publicly available (job descriptions, company websites/financials/Linkedin pages, and Google). Publicly available information gives you the same information as your competitor - Don't fool yourself that you're better at Google searches than anyone else (hint: Google's almost a quarter century old, so everyone's a Google expert). Even worse, publicly available information, including the job description (usually written a year ago) describes obsolete needs (Why would a company allow their current problems to be public information?). Instead of portraying yourself as the wrong fit, you can gain a huge advantage by gaining access to better employer information describing current needs (because your competition doesn't bother).
  2. Create A "I Need To Talk To Him/Her" First Impression: This is true for both your resume and during interviews. First impressions are formed quickly - In about 6 seconds for your resume, and 15-30 seconds in an interview. Few candidates are able to even describe themselves as qualified in that time, and qualified isn't even enough (today's employers expect 10-20 qualified candidates competing for each interview spot). You need to aim higher - Create a first impression that makes an employer think "I need to talk to you".

The problem most job seekers face during bad job markets, is they try to do the same thing as everyone else. So they don't stand out to employers (and employers can't afford to hire average candidates in a recession). Even if you are average, you can't portray yourself this way and expect to find a job quickly.

Why not let me show you how to use different resume/job search strategies designed to work in poor job markets, so you can land your next job by Q1 2021? While we're at it, I'll teach you ways to accelerate your job search, so you stop trying to land a job just by applying to more jobs and hoping to get lucky.

This is the 3rd recession I've recruited/coached through, so I've seen first hand what resume and job search strategies succeed during recessions. I've also seen mistakes candidates make, causing their recession job searches to fail. I've been through this before and know what works and what doesn't.

That's why numerous job seekers who work with me have already gotten job offers this March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December, January and February - every week since mid-March.

As a top national recruiter who reads hundreds of resumes per day, who has helped hundreds of thousands of candidates in their job search, and seen thousands of employers' job search processes from the inside, I've got a different perspective than most career coaches.

I see that most job seekers do essentially the same things, even when they think they are job searching differently. I see the mistakes that almost every age 40+ job seeker makes that make them lose great opportunities. I also see most job seekers were taught search methods that eliminate them from consideration, because they conflict with the employer's hiring process.

But I've been teaching job seekers to overcome ageism for 13+ years by using non-traditional resume/job search strategies that demonstrate impact rather than just being average. I'll show you how to beat ageism and find a great job during the recession by understanding employers' point of view and hiring processes ... and using this understanding to beat your competition.

(I'm not just a career coach. I've also been a top national recruiter for the last 16+ years ... so you'll get advice from a different perspective - an insider's point of view.)

Let me show you what you can do now to change your job search and resume so you can beat ageism during the recession, even if you're also between jobs, trying to change careers, industry or location, if your industry is in decline/consolidation, trying to overcome long term career gaps, family leave, find a remote job, turnaround your job search or other tough to solve job search problems.
