A Tale of 3 Entrepreneurs

Quit her job and went cold turkey, but… the money didn’t come rolling in…

The first entrepreneur got up tons of courage and went cold turkey. She quit her job in October 2016.

 I met her in February of 2017 when I was sitting beside her at a workshop. She still hadn’t made a dime. In fact, she was losing money.

 At one point, she broke down in tears explaining to the workshop moderator that she if could just make $3,000 a month she would feel so much better. 

 She wanted so badly for her two young children to be proud of her. She wanted to show them, and her husband, that she could do it…that she could make it in her own business.

 [TRUE CONFESSION: As I was sitting beside her, listening to her story, she totally inspired me. I had been in such a deep dark hole, struggling to payoff a mountain of debt, and only adding on more and more debt as I spent money on my business, with little or no results.

 So, I decided… “If she can do it, I can too!”

 I hadn’t even been willing to set my sites as high as $3,000 per month.]

 The next month she actually hit $3,000 in sales.

But the struggle continued. It wasn’t smooth sailing from there.

 She was still trying to figure out exactly what she should be doing for her business.

Over the next several months she got more and more clarity and launched what’s now her business in July of 2017.

 She had her first 5-figure month in December of 2017. 

 And then her first 6-figure year in 2018.

 I'll tell you more about her in a bit.

From almost homeless to $10k/mo…

 Just a little over two years ago this single woman, with no financial support, was eeking out an existence on under $12,000 a year.

Can you spell S-T-R-U-G-G-L-E?

 When I met her in January of 2019, she had quit her job in hopes of really getting her own business off the ground. She had no savings and no backup plan.

 By March, things were looking pretty bad. The business hadn’t come pouring in like she’d hoped.

 By April, things were so desperate, she had no money to pay her rent, she had to borrow a friend’s car because she had no money to buy gas, and she was scraping together little bits of food here and there. 

She told me later, that she had made the decision that if she needed to, she could live on the street.

 In a dramatic turn around, just two months later, in June she had her first $10k month in her life!

She’s gone on to have another $10k month, a $12k month, and now a $15k month.

 But how????

 Hang tight…

From the lowest of lows and mountains of debt with no visible way out to…

 This woman, after losing everything financially, had been struggling for over 4 years to get her business off the ground.

She’d spent tens of thousands of dollars on various different business opportunities and programs, searching for anything that would work.

 In April of 2017 she got an idea to start testing out something different. 

 There were little glimmers of hope. But no serious results. Then in August of 2017, she finally made about $3,500. Well, at least that was an improvement.

 In September of 2017, she had a HUGE breakthrough and broke the $35,000 mark in one month.

She went on to make over $150,000 in the next 5 months.

 And over a million in just under two years.

Now, if you’ve heard my story, you might recognize that as me.

 So… what was the “magic” that we all had in common?

 1.    We all found an exposure agent. Each of us had a vehicle, a person, or an organization that gave us great exposure to a large group of people. This was really rocket fuel for our businesses.

 2.    Each of us became very aware of how we create our lives. We paid very close attention to our energy and became conscious creators of our lives, rather than the unconscious creators that had put us in the mess we were each in.

 3.    We work our tail ends off!!! We don’t start working on our businesses at 10 am and quit by 5:00 pm. We work late nights. We work weekends. I personally work 14-hour days very frequently. We do whatever it takes. We put in the effort consistently.

 4.    We each have invested tens of thousands of dollars in mentoring. AND… we’ve each taken 10000000000% responsibility for our own results.
