The Secret That Took Me From A Suicide Attempt to Building A Multiple 7 Figure Coaching Business.

From a young age I was confident of two things 1) That I could use my time on planet earth to make a purposeful impact 2) That I could make as much money as I chose.

Despite such beliefs I always struggled with my sexuality. I tried to hide my sexuality because I was brought up in the Church, they said my “choice” of sexuality was wrong. I got married. I studied a degree in Theology and ran a Christian ministry.

My world came crashing down when my wife and I had an argument, she walked out and I knew that I would never see her again. My own inability to be truthful to who I was had caused so much pain in others and I was ashamed of myself.

The truth is, I couldn’t accept that I was gay.

That night I turned to google and googled “most quickest and painless way to die”. I attempted to take my own life.

I woke up in hospital with a profound understanding of how precious life is and I re-connected back to the passion that I had to make a purposeful impact.

The next three months were crazy as I found a business partner, leased a 200 acre-island in Fiji and invited the world to become “tribe members”. This crazy idea, born out of one of the most painful experiences of my life, was featured in 200 media outlets around the world, was filmed for 18 months and became a TV show in three countries.

And yet, I couldn’t help thinking about me, hitting rock bottom and googling “most quickest and painless way to die”.

I didn’t want anyone to experience the depth of pain that I felt and so I committed myself to helping coaches, consultants and experts to build their own tribes and make a bigger impact.

Nearly 14 years after attempting to take my own life I help the most amazing people to build tribes, to ensure that their audience live the most amazing life that they possibly can.

And, as a result, have built a multiple seven figure business and I am only just beginning.

Recently I was asked by one of my clients what the secret was, what took me from the darkest moment of my life to building a significant business of impact and my response was this;

“Belief and Faith. I had the believed that, irrespective of what my immediate surroundings told me - whether I had support for ideas or not, whether I had zero money, all of that was so small and inconsequential in comparison to the belief that I had in the fact that I COULD turn my situation around, that I could make an impact, that I could be successful and that I could make money.

But, my belief was nothing without faith. I had the faith that even when business ideas failed, even when I struggled to generate leads, even after sales call after sales call without generating any clients or money. I had the FAITH that every action that I took was a learning lesson that took me closer to my goal”.

The truth is that when things start getting hard, people give up. When they have a dream whether that be a business, sporting, music, acting, career, relationship or financial dream, when it gets too hard they give up.

I made a conscious decision to view adversity as the torch that led me through the dark tunnel, guiding my way to the opportunity that lay at the end.

The truth is that the world is not changed by those who give up.

Every single problem that the world faces, every single invention that needs to be created or cure for an illness that needs to be devised will ONLY be created by those who NEVER EVER give up.
