The Secret to Successful Change
PACE - Partners in Achieving Change Excellence
Our niche is helping mining leaders achieve their safety and production goals by de-risking the people side of change.
What is the secret to Successful Change Management?
Simply put it is the ability to effectively diagnose and work on eliminating the very specific barriers to #change. In a #hierarchical organization this often has to be done through a cascaded leadership approach - where we work on the top level and work our way down.
The reason managing & implementing change is so hard is because the barriers are extremely unique and different in every change context and within every team. One Size Does Not Fit All and short of running detailed, long drawn out assessments (which we have done in the past) we've adapted our methods to only use highly qualified subject matter experts with operational experience; Since we are specialist in the #mining industry, we have experts such as Kate McLaughlin and Neil Milner P.Eng PMP who spend hours of #collaborativeworking time ahead of the workshops custom designing, rehearsing, de-risking and executing very tight workshops;
These workshops leverage play and technology to:
1. Listen Intently (with documentation)
2. Confirm What We Heard
3. Have the Candid Conversations

4. Align #Leadership on the exact #Vision
5. And Finally identify #behaviours or Leading Metrics that will make the change real!
All this usually within a 2 hour window with site management teams!
We also get asked "What's Up with the Lego?"
In addition to being LEGO? SERIOUS PLAY? certified professionals (Look it Up! Its a Thing!) - For short kick offs we often use the same 6 pieces of lego to drive home some very basic yet insightful aha moments on #alignment and #culture at the beginning and at the end of our workshops.
These fun seemingly inane exercises serve as key grounding moments, we constantly refer back to throughout the project. Every little detail of these 5 minute activities gives us volumes of information about the sentiment in the room, the company culture and which aspect of #changeleadership needs our biggest focus.
