Secret to Success

We all want things to get better.

For our life to improve.

To catch a break.

To earn more income.

For it to be less busy.

To not have so many problems to deal with.

I remember when Kristen and I ran around all day exhausted just trying to get by.

Just wishing for life to get a little easier and not be so crazy.

But then I heard a few life quotes by Jim Rohn that completely blew me away that said:

“If you want things to change then you need to change. If you want the next 30 days of your life to not look like the last 30 then the only thing that needs to change is you. Don’t wish it was easier wish you were better.”

Whoa.

Then I heard I’m say:

“Work harder on yourself than you do on your job.”

That is a secret to success.

These words of wisdom blew me away and I dove right into working harder on myself.

I read books about time management.

I read books about winning the morning.

I read books about relationships.

I read books about leadership.

I read books about mindset.

I read books about paying off debt.

I read books about high performers.

I read books about failure.

I read books about our health.

I listened to motivational messages on YouTube.

Once I did this my life changed. Not because I didn’t still have problems and challenges of life. I did. At times even worse than they were.

But how I handled these life problems differently is what made all the difference.

I changed.

I improved.

I became better.

Jim Rohn was right.

It’s early Sunday morning. No one is up. My tempur-pedic mattress was beyond comfortable to sleep in. But I didn’t.

Why? Because I learned about time management in one book and how to be more effective in my hours of the day.

Drinking coffee and reading a chapter right now in this book about Vision and it is some powerful information.  

Kristen and I have some big goals that won’t happen by accident or when life gets easier. They will happen if we get better. Period.
