The secret sauce to a happy life

I should be the last person to talk about health as for over more than a decade and a half I was just taking from my body and mind and investing in my work and life. There were roles where I travelled for a month and more at a stretch. There was a time I woke up in a country in a hotel bed and it took me a few seconds to remember not just where I was but who I was. This was scary and a brutal reminder to how much I was taking from my body with no investment back.
In the pandemic I decided to do a one year course on integrative nutrition and realized how all the elements in our body and mind were interconnected and if we dont nourish our body with love, self care, exercise and well-being it will slowly decay and decline. Most of us are very careful to invest and take care of our financial well being but why do we get lazy, callous and procrastinators when it comes to our mental and physical wellbeing.
I have learnt that this balance is so individual. I dont think I need a week away to relax for my well being. I now am clear that I need to take out time to exercise in the morning with a little meditation and chanting everyday that sets me roaring for the day. Since the last 3 years I see the gradual changes. I feel so productive in the day, I dont feel over whelmed no matter what happens, I feel more calm and quiet in the chaos and am able to think clearly with a strong focus on being solution oriented.
Just small change in the daily routine has made a whole world of a difference to my life. What this entails for me is everyday habit of waking up earlier than usual and doing my exercise and chanting routine.

I believe its all about inculcating a habit that invariably you cant get out of eventually. It took me some perseverance and determination initially to form this habit but once its formed then it does not need that much effort anymore. I look forward to starting my day with a great dose of dopamine. I sincerely feel there is no bigger dopamine than exercise in the morning. Its the strongest cup of coffee you will ever need.
My post here is to just share my amazing journey to self realization on why prioritizing self care the first thing in the morning will help us to prioritize the rest of the day to what is needed from us.
