Benefits: Sarvangasana is a powerhouse of benefits.

  1. It promotes healthy blood circulation,
  2. ensuring that the brain receives ample oxygen and nutrients.
  3. This asana is also a boon for the thyroid glands,
  4. facilitating hormonal balance.
  5. For those entrenched in the digital era's sedentary lifestyle, it offers much-needed relief by alleviating stress, reducing fatigue, and enhancing overall vitality.

The Right Way Under Iyengar Yoga: Precision is key in Iyengar Yoga. For Sarvangasana:

  1. start by lying on your back,
  2. using a folded blanket under your shoulders to protect your neck.
  3. Gradually lift your legs, hips, and back off the floor,
  4. supporting your back with your hands.
  5. Ensure your body is in a straight line, with your weight resting on your shoulders, not your neck or head.
  6. The gaze should be towards the chest, with the chin slightly tucked in.

Precautions and What Not to Do: It's crucial to avoid this asana if you suffering from:-

  1. high blood pressure,
  2. heart conditions, or
  3. during menstruation.
  4. Also having Neck injuries
  5. Avoid jerky movements or attempting this pose without proper warm-up.

A Story of Transformation : I myself battling chronic back pain, neck pain and overwhelming stress. Introduced to Sarvangasana through Iyengar Yoga, I began practicing under expert guidance. Within months, I noticed a significant reduction in neck pain, a marked improvement in stress levels, and a newfound sense of balance in life.
