Have you ever had lemonade? Oh, what a simple question! I am sure most of you had it. Have you ever prepared a lemonade (or Indian Nimbu Pani)? If you have, you are already aware of the recipe. The simplest recipe needs below ingredients for 1 person :
- 2 tspn lemon juice
- 500 ml water
- 4 tspn sugar
- Pinch of salt
You can add other ingredients like black pepper or cumin powder as per your taste. Ice if you like it cold.
Imagine you have only these things, will you be able to make lemonade in 2 mins? Ok, 5 mins? Think, think, think before reading further.
Even if you have the best ingredients, each has different qualities. When combined in a glass, they need time to mix with each other to give you the perfect taste. They need an external important element called spoon or stirrer or a shaker.
Let’s consider spoon alone for now. This spoon is not part of the lemonade (the product), but without it, you cannot get quick results. Each ingredient will settle at the bottom, fight with each other, mix and mingle over a period of time. If left as is, it will take days before you can enjoy your drink.
Spoon helps speed up the process. It creates a tornado in the glass, ensures that each ingredient gives the best performance, works with each other and adapts to the new culture. I am sure all of them hate spoon. Obviously, it is changing their inherent qualities.
Once the job is done, spoon will sit outside watching lemonade being praised and consumed. No one remembers what spoon has accomplished in 30 secs.
Identify your spoons and admire them. Without them your lemonade is not ready.
