7 Ways to Infuse Gratitude Into Your Next Meeting

So, how can you start incorporating gratitude into your meetings?

Here are 7 practical ways to get you started. This is not an exhaustive list!

  1. Gratitude Openers. Begin your meetings with a "Gratitude Share" where team members are invited to share something they're grateful for. It doesn't matter whether their share is personal or professional -- it's whatever they are feeling grateful for. This sets a positive tone for the meeting and encourages team members to focus on the good.
  2. Celebration Session. Start the meeting by asking, "What do YOU choose to celebrate since we were last together?" Be creative and make variations of this based on your work. You could ask, "What client success do we want to celebrate? What's an innovative way client's have used our products or services?" Gratitudes like these fuel creativity and create connections.
  3. Create a Gratitude Chain. Have each team member write down something they're grateful for on a sticky note, and then create a chain by connecting the notes together. This visual representation of gratitude can be a powerful reminder of the good in your team's work.
  4. The 3-3-3 Opener. This is a favorite shared with me by Leatham Green . Have people gather in groups of three for three minutes. In that time, each person shares one, two, or three things they're grateful for or want to celebrate. This is another powerful way to create connections between people and increase camaraderie.
  5. Thank-You Notes/Texts. Take a few minutes to write thank-you notes or send thank you texts to team members who have made a positive impact on the project or team. This small gesture can go a long way in fostering a culture of appreciation.
  6. Gratitude Jar.?Keep a "Gratitude Jar" in the meeting room where team members can write down things they're grateful for on slips of paper and add them to the jar. Read them aloud during meetings or at the end of the week to reflect on the good.
  7. Gratitude Reflection?End your meeting with a reflection on what each team member is grateful for or key takeaway from the meeting. This helps team members leave the meeting with a positive takeaway and sets them up for success until the next meeting.

By incorporating these gratitude practices into your meetings, you'll be amazed at the positive impact it can have on your team's morale, productivity, and overall well-being.

Remember, gratitude is the secret ingredient that can transform your meetings from mundane to meaningful, from boring to energizing, and from ineffective to effective.

So, what are you waiting for? Start infusing gratitude into your meetings today and watch your team thrive!

Kevin I recently went to Walmart and I heard over the loud speaker two ladies that worked there along time called out and congratulated. It made me smile and see that a company that is as big as Walmart found a way to show gratitude to two of their employees that day. They understand the power of gratitude ??.
