A secret to effortless social media - a content vault

If you've ever found yourself staring at a blank screen, desperately trying to think of something to post, you are not the only one? We all have days where creativity flows and others where it’s completely missing.

That’s where a content vault comes in - a bank of saved ideas and captions that means you’re never starting from scratch.

What’s a content vault, and why do you need one?

Think of it like meal prepping for social media. Instead of scrambling for ideas every day, you create and store content when you’re feeling inspired, so you always have something ready to go.

How to start your content vault today

1) Choose where to store it - Google Drive, Trello, Notion, or Airtable work well.

2) Save key content types:

  • High-performing posts
  • Engagement boosters (polls, quizzes, questions)
  • Evergreen content (FAQs, testimonials, useful tips)
  • Sales and promotional content

3) Make it work for you:

  • Batch-create and schedule content ahead of time.
  • Repurpose content in different formats.
  • Keep adding ideas so you’re never stuck.

Thank you for your helpful post Helen. I will get your content vault. I have several articles/posts already written that I store either in google or word document. I spend a day or so when I’m in the mood and just write. I often fall foul of LinkedIn’s character count which means I have to edit and cut down like mad. I have found a way to post them without the mad editing.
