?? The Secret to Big Ticket Sales ??

Today I’d like to tell you about something that happens over and over and over again with my clients and it has come up numerous times this past week and it is the secret to big ticket sales. In the past week, I've had the same thing happen not once not twice but three times to three amazing women that I'm working with as private clients.?
To introduce the secret to big ticket sales, I want to frame it using a story. I once met a woman who was making $1500 per month on average doing small projects. One person might ask her to do a logo. They’d ask for a price and she’d quote them something like $150.??
When I started to work with her, I realized she'd been an art director at a startup for 10 years so she could definitely do more than a logo. When I brought this up to her, she said “nobody asks me for other things” and my response to her was, “almost no one is going to ask you for the biggest thing that they need, because especially when they first start working with you they're just getting to know you” but if you don’t tell them what other services you offer, they may never find out.
Don’t get me wrong, it's okay to start out with a new client by doing a small project for them. What’s not OK is to stop there. You never want to complete a project and then say “OK thanks, bye”. By doing that, we undervalue our own worth. We are worth so much more than a transaction and should never miss an opportunity to build a meaningful business relationship or develop a long-term client. So, what she and I worked on was taking every $150 sale and turning it into a $9000 sale. For this particular woman’s business, the way it worked was she would create a great logo for the customer, deliver it, and the customer would be delighted with her work. What she would do next is offer to review the other elements of their branding and make suggestions for ones that could use updating.?
As a former art director for a decade, she could present a unique proposal for services that they couldn’t get anywhere else. She stopped viewing herself and her work as a commodity and started presenting herself as a voice of authority on custom rebranding.?
By doing this, she turned $150 into $9000 over and over again.?
So if you complete a project and deliver it, know that the secret to big ticket sales is truly the belief that you're worth it.?
Believing in yourself and knowing your services are valuable is the first step and there are two important components to belief. One is tactical and the other is emotional.?
If you've ever felt that you wanted to do something but you weren't sure, deep down in your heart, that it was possible. If you knew how to do it, knew what words to say and in what order, and could get support for your decision to do that thing, wouldn't that help with believing you could accomplish it??
Well that's the tactical side of belief.
And then you have the emotional side of belief and that comes from coaching. Find someone who you trust to give you the belief in yourself!
