We spend so much time preparing for interviews—researching, perfecting our pitch, rehearsing answers. It feels like it’s all about us getting ready to shine. But here’s the truth: Once that interview starts, it’s not about you anymore—it’s about them.
Think about it—what does the company really want to know? They want to know how you can help them solve their problems, achieve their goals, and overcome their challenges. If you shift your focus from “I need to impress” to “How can I help?” you’ll find yourself on a completely different playing field.
By focusing on them and learning about their needs and how best you can help, it takes the pressure off of you. It changes your concern about trying to be perfect with all your answers and it shifts your focus to simply sharing how best you can help.?

I like this view, Robert. I am reading a lot of books. One of the few that really stood out to me is 'Never split the difference' from Chris Voss. It complements well with many other books I would recommend but it stands out in how it encompasses a fundamental approach to human interaction that transfers to all facets of our lives - including networking, job searching and interviewing.
