In the last article, I had shared about the first principle that makes some Networkers the champions of the game. You can read it here. Today, I'd be sharing more on the second principle.
Master Networker's Principle of inclusion
Even though we may not like to admit, many of us tend to reject people the moment we feel that they are of no value to us. We often tend to judge people based on their social status, wealth or their relevance to us.
The Master Networkers don't rule people out. They constantly work to make people feel included in their presence, conversations etc. They make a conscious choice to treat people with respect and kindness.
This aspect of inclusion makes them instantly-likable and gets them the respect of people in their Network. With this comes trust and credibility. Once we have these, we have a network that would be willing to support us.
Can you answer this question honestly?
Have you been guilty of excluding people or have you ever been excluded by someone? If yes, what are your thoughts on this principle?
