Second Time Round

Second Time Round

New Year is the time of year when everyone stops for a split second to review their life. Look back and assess. Look forward and plan. It's a good practice to do, however, it doesn't give a system to keep the momentum in place after you recover from your hang-over celebrations and all the decorations are put away for another year.

January rolls on at full-speed, or even faster since the holidays we actually took some time off for ourselves. So what happens to the lessons learned from the mistakes and successes from last year, and the new dreams to make this one an even greater success? They often get put to the side, and are a slow-drain guilt fest when we are feeling we can't do everything we want to do and somehow feel bad about that.

We can break the habit of being busy. We can stop linking of sense of self worth with our productivity. We can. We just need to make that decision to do that. However, that comes from contemplative thinking and slowing down.

What I adore about January is that it gives us the SECOND CHANCE to get a start over. The CHINESE NEW YEAR is always about one month after the normal one, which is perfect. Our reviews of last year and our dreams for this year are still fresh in our minds. We can retrieve them without much effort. And then we can reinforce them without the sticky mess of the holiday stress in the mix.

Are you looking forward to the next year and all the great things you can do, see, become, experience? I hope so.

Next year is going to be a fun, wild ride. Believing in second chances and the Lunar New Year celebrations of welcoming in the New Year with the Chinese animal the sacred Dragon is just one way to embrace your second chance at a fresh start.

Want to learn more about this second chance at the New Year, join me for a detailed talk on the power of the lunar new year, the predications from following the ancient patterns and using them to shine light on what may unfold in the next twelve months. Plus my own secret sauce for how to dance with the Dragon without getting burned, and what we can learn from the last few years. A lively discussion always follows. January 31st at 1:30pm EST | 7:30pm CET. Zoom link and recordings available for those that can't make it live. Hope to 'see' you there and enjoy embracing our second chance at a fresh start together.
